Listen to others that recommend set up on a flat, level surface. We got our money's worth out of this last summer but both the pool itself and the inflatable ring had leaks when we went to set it up this summer, hence only 4 stars. It may have been the way we stored it, though. We went with the metal frame 12 foot by 30 inch Intex this year - we'll see if that one lasts longer. So far, I like that the sides of the metal frame Intex go straight up - it feels bigger. All in all, this was a good purchase but we wish it had been a bit sturdier.
Setup the pool for the second season, and everything is intact. I've read a lot of reviews where the pool hasn't lasted 1 season. If I make it through this year I will say it was well worth it. We use it in conjunction with the saltwater chlorine generator from intex and makes maintaining the pool really easy. The only thing we have to do is check the pH level, but the chlorine is usually spot on.
This was the best dollars I have ever spent! My kids are in the pool AM to PM! Do your best to keep the pool level or you will have an egg shaped pool. Also I strongly recommend a pool cover to keep these debris out and save your pump.
Everything you need in one box - great value. Endless fun. Pretty simple install. Good quality and durability after one summer season. Pump was acting up - walmart sent a replacement. Using the right balance of chemicals will keep pool clean, hardest part is taking it down for the season and cleaning it. My ground wasn’t level at all - but ended up not being as bad as I thought - had a slight dip I could live with. Filters are washable, clean often and replace as needed. Occasionally you’ll need to refill air in top ring, not that big of a deal.
Our ground appeared to us to be leveled so we set the pool up. Then we noticed all the water shifted to one side of the pool, making it very lopsided and dangerous. One side was half way full while the other side barely had water. We took it down. The following weekend, we bought topsoil and other items to level the land. It took us 9 hours to level (our son is 9 and I'm 35 wks preggo, so my hubbie took on the bulk of it). Once we were done, we used the tarp trick of laying it over the area where the pool will sit and spray water in the center and see if it runs in a specific direction. Passed, it stayed in the center! We set the pool back up and crossed our fingers. Took appx 10 hours to fill with 1 hose. It's perfect and safe now and we love it.
